Driving for Uber has given me freedom. I can prioritize my family while also making connections across my community. In my five years as a driver, I’ve never had to sacrifice time with my family and I’ve never had to sacrifice time with myself. I can pause to take a walk in a park I’ve never been to. If I’m in a new area, I can hop off the app and try a new restaurant. I can take time for me, and still make an income. Being a driver has connected me with people from all different walks of life, and the conversations I get to have along the way are unforgettable.
